A Night Well Spent

On Friday nights I can usually be found out in the town with my friends. It may be bowling, relaxing at a park, strolling the downtown areas, exploring, or just having a grand ole time being weird at someones household. This Friday however, was different. I spent it on my own...for the most part as I was surrounded by lots of people. I...well..wait. How did it go again?...

Oh Right! I grabbed my camera, my tripod, my camera stick, and off I went. First of all, I stood along side the road of Eagle. Which I believe is the busiest road in Idaho. After setting up my tripod and my camera, I attempted to do some cool night shots of the cars going by. You see, I absolutely adore photography, and do a lot of it, BUT I don't actually know that much photography things. Such as how to get enough exposure to be able to get the picture I was aiming for...instead I got these.

and even this...

So.. I decided to hop on my long-board, and take a trip to the Village which was practically in the same parking lot.

At this point in time (get it...time...), I got to talking with some pretty awesome people!
After a break of talking, my pictures continued. I ended up at the fountain at perfect timing, as the big show was beginning.

The beauty of settings.

I liked the lamp posts.

This here is practically my favorite store in the Village. It is a home decor store, with everything my style!

I could just sit on a bench, and relax at this place. It is so peaceful, and has the perfect lighting, music, and tone.

I also liked the brick walls

Finally, I may or may not have thought this said Skryim. I think it's time I play it again.

I may not have been with my friends as usual, and this was something I never have really done before, but I loved it. Going, doing what you love for hours and hours is satisfying. I definitely plan on doing more photography trips in the future...maybe even this weekend. I will be honest and say it was weird going into the public and taking pictures of...well everything. Although awkward, I had a few people ask me about my photography, and some even asked me to take their photo on their phone because I looked professional enough to do so.

I never felt more like myself, and I felt so confident going out doing what I love. OH...and you can't forget I had my favorite beanie on so that helps!

Fireworks and Lights

Last weekend two of my friends and I decided to go to the Scentsy headquarters for a fireworks show! Scentsy makes wick-less candles...if you didn't already know that.

Here we are having some fun dancing around a crowd, laughing, and living.

The Scentsy building truly is stunning once the sun begins to set.

Inside is even better than the outside. It is absolutely beautiful, picturesque, and interesting to explore.

First up, the statues!

As you walk to the other side of the building, under the glowing lights, is a old-fashion, non-working telephone booth...but lets just pretend it is real...

...and get trapped in it because the door is VERY heavy.

I mean honestly, how cutie is this corner cafe INSIDE the cafeteria area?

Oh! you can't forget us deciding to be weird..

Here is Maggs and Leena pretending to play cards on a random table we found.

And also posing behind the candle guy because....lines. Who needs lines?

So many people showed...this is just the begging folks.

Whats the "best fireworks show Boise has seen in years" without some party music and dancing?

and...the fireworks display began! They were HUGE, they were BEAUTIFUL, and they were, actually the best fireworks show I have seen...

Did I mention they somehow managed to make it go to a selection of different songs? Like perfectly?

They also were so big and loud that people from miles away could hear them, and could even see them. My home is at least 4.5 miles away and my father could hear them... I mean just look at this picture an employee took at the last moments of the finale...

wow.

Next up, another one of my friends Derik joined our shenanigans, and we embarked on a trip to the mountains. We went about a half-hour outside the city in hopes of seeing the Northern Lights.

We weren't seeing any...so we made our own lights show...

Did I mention is was around 1 A.M..and freezing?

...

but the moon was bright. (The real one and this one)

Here are my peeps y'all. Just enjoying being young, and making memories.

While the city glowed behind us.

All in all the Northern Lights portion may have been the FAIL of the night. But the night definitely was  NOT a fail in the slightest.

Here's to another night that I will never forget!
