My Best Friends

I start my new life adventure tomorrow; College. Its crazy how it is finally here. I say finally, but I don't know if I am ready for it or not. The majority of my friends are gone. They have left for college and have either already started, or start tomorrow. I miss them. I miss them very much. All of us being apart, must be seen as a good thing. We have spent most of every day together for four or so years. Now, it is time to spend some time apart, to grow, and well, Skype every week of course. The point is, It gives us a chance to expand, to learn, to grow, and still be friends. I am excited, and already love looking at the pictures and hearing about all of their college adventures.

Before any of the girls left for college we went on a camping trip. That weekend was the best part of my entire summer by far. The late night discussions around the campfire, horse races, laughter, acting, hugs, and so much more really opened my eyes to the fact that I have the best friends I could ever ask for.

This video was a blast to make. (I also had a little fun with the music...). The songs in it have meaning. The song Stolen Dance by Milky Chance is the song that my friend was dancing to the first night. It was the best dance ever and still remains to be so. The song All About That Bass by Meghan Trainor, is the song that we listened to on the drive up, and it was stuck in our heads and sung most of the weekend. That weekend we reached a new level of closeness, and new level of friendship. One that I believe we all realized would last forever. If we stopped talking for a while, and began again, it would be as if nothing changed. Whatever happens with these people throughout college, and life, I know we are always there for each other, and will always love each other, and that, will never change.

There are two quotes at the end of the video. I found them, and fell in love with them.

"We are all a little weird, and life's a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall it mutual weirdness and call it love." - Dr. Seuss

This is not just a quote for me, it is more of a statement, or a description of my current life. Those people in that video...are incredibly weird. All of us are. Are inside jokes consist of words such as: Unicorn, Turtle, Butterfly, and Dinosaur. So many memories are inside all of the words. And they make us laugh! We are all our selves, our weird, crazy, sometimes obnoxious selves and we do not care what any other person may think of that.

"Friendship isn't about whom you have known for the longest. It's about who came, stayed and never left your side".

This one especially is important. We all have been friends for about 4 years as a group. Some more in twos. Personally, the friends that did not last were the ones I was friends with for 6 or even 12 years. But these people, I have known for a short time you could say, and we are closer that a lot of friends seem to be. I love that. We have this "rule". That "rule" says that no one may ever, and I mean ever be or feel lonely. WE always tell each other, if you are at home, and lonely, or just want to talk to someone or anything at all, text one or all of us, and we will be there. If we are in the middle of something big and important, then we will stop, and be with you ASAP. That is what we do our best to do.

I truly hope you enjoy this video, and think of your best friends, the people you care the most about.
I know that I can watch this video a million times and not get bored with it, or not smile and laugh.

Enjoy, and then go have fun with your friends!

Growing up

Growing up. Its a concept that takes years to reach the beginning of the process. It is difficult to understand. Growing up is also something no one clearly understands, yet everyone believes in it. Growing up is something we all experience eventually.

At the current moment, I am at the mall. I am sitting on an long, brown and black, ugly looking bench between the Idaho camera and sunglasses hut stores. I am eating my original pretzels bitz with some water to go with it. Oh, did I mention that i am alone? Now let me tell you something, going shopping by yourself may be awkward at times, and maybe a little boring, but its not half bad. You get to decide where to go, buy what you want, and take however long you choose. However, you spend your own money that you worked hard for. But, I think that's a good thing. It allows you to buy only whats needed, really loved, and you usually will take the best care of what you bought. And its all part of growing up.

What else is a part of growing up? Well, as an 18 year old, my college career is near, and beginning in a week and two days. Its an exciting new adventure...but a scary one at that. One by one my best friends, those who I have spent all my time with for four or more years, are leaving for their own college adventures. Its hard. Its difficult. Its sad. It is also wonderful. Why, you may ask? Well, we are all stepping out of our comfort zone. Were starting those years that people look back on the most. Its the years that determine the rest of your life. How can you not be excited for that?

Growing up, means trying to figure out who you are, and what you want to be. I know what I love to do, but career wise...I am at a loss. I have no idea. I have looked and looked for careers for years, and I just unsatisfied. The world takes life, and careers, and money in a direction that seems unpleasant. (keep a look out for a video based on that sentience). Although it makes me terrified, I am glad that I have time, and that I will always have time, and people behind me. Growing up means one thing to me. It means living your life for you, and nobody else. It is learning to be yourself, love yourself, and doing what you love. Forget the costs. The only thing you should be worried about while growing up, is being unhappy. Never be unhappy. Be satisfied.

"It's about a girl who is on the cusp of becoming someone. A girl who may no know what she wants right now. And she may not know who she is right now. But who deserves the chance to find out." - Jodi Picoult, My Sister's Keeper

July; The Month Of Adventure

July went by way too fast. It began with festivities and ended with sorrow. The first one of my friends left for college, but the adventures of the month were nothing but blissful memories.

I can already tell that this video, will never fail to make me laugh and smile. I am telling you all, you do not need drugs, or alcohol to have the time of your life. And my friends, are the best part.

I hope you enjoy my daily videos for the month of July!
